Alt H F D C on Mac: Conditional Formatting in Excel
To run Conditional Formatting with Alt H F D C in Excel on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type H, F, D, C. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.

Install LightningXL
Download LightningXL, then follow the instructions. Setup takes about two minutes.
Select what to act on
Click a cell, or select the range the command should apply to.
Tap Option, then type H F D C
Tap ⌥ on its own to show the key tips, then H for Home, F D for Find & Select, C for Conditional Formatting.
What Alt H F D C does
Conditional Formatting sits under Home › Find & Select on the Excel ribbon. On Windows, Alt H F D C runs it from the keyboard. Excel for Mac has the same ribbon but no Alt key, so without LightningXL you click through Home › Find & Select › Conditional Formatting instead.
