Alt M X E on Mac: Automatic Except for Data Tables in Excel
To run Automatic Except for Data Tables with Alt M X E in Excel on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type M, X, E. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.

Select what to act on
Click a cell, or select the range the command should apply to.
Tap Option, then type M X E
Tap ⌥ on its own to show the key tips, then M for Formulas, X for Calculation Options, E for Automatic Except for Data Tables.
What Alt M X E does
Automatic Except for Data Tables sits under Formulas › Calculation Options on the Excel ribbon. On Windows, Alt M X E runs it from the keyboard. Excel for Mac has the same ribbon but no Alt key, so without LightningXL you click through Formulas › Calculation Options › Automatic Except for Data Tables instead.
