Alt N C 1 on Mac: Column or Bar Chart in Excel
To run Column or Bar Chart with Alt N C 1 in Excel on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type N, C, 1. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.

Install LightningXL
Download LightningXL, then follow the instructions. Setup takes about two minutes.
Select what to act on
Click a cell, or select the range the command should apply to.
Tap Option, then type N C 1
Tap ⌥ on its own to show the key tips, then N for Insert, C 1 for Column or Bar Chart.
What Alt N C 1 does
Column or Bar Chart sits on the Insert tab of the Excel ribbon. On Windows, Alt N C 1 runs it from the keyboard. Excel for Mac has the same ribbon but no Alt key, so without LightningXL you click through Insert › Column or Bar Chart instead.
