Alt G P C M on Mac: More Colors in Word
To run More Colors with Alt G P C M in Word on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type G, P, C, M. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.

Install LightningXL
Download LightningXL, then follow the instructions. Setup takes about two minutes.
Select what to act on
Put the cursor where you want it, or select the text or object.
Tap Option, then type G P C M
Tap ⌥ on its own to show the key tips, then G for Design, P C for Page Color, M for More Colors.
What Alt G P C M does
More Colors sits under Design › Page Color on the Word ribbon. On Windows, Alt G P C M runs it from the keyboard. Word for Mac has the same ribbon but no Alt key, so without LightningXL you click through Design › Page Color › More Colors instead.
