Alt H F P on Mac: Format Painter in Word
To run Format Painter with Alt H F P in Word on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type H, F, P. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.

Install LightningXL
Download LightningXL, then follow the instructions. Setup takes about two minutes.
Select what to act on
Put the cursor where you want it, or select the text or object.
Tap Option, then type H F P
Tap ⌥ on its own to show the key tips, then H for Home, F P for Format Painter.
What Alt H F P does
Format Painter sits on the Home tab of the Word ribbon. On Windows, Alt H F P runs it from the keyboard. Word for Mac has the same ribbon but no Alt key, so without LightningXL you click through Home › Format Painter instead.
