Alt A P N on Mac: Get Data menu in Excel
To open the Get Data menu with Alt A P N in Excel on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type A, P, N. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.

Step by step
Install LightningXL
Download LightningXL, then follow the instructions. Setup takes about two minutes.
Select what to act on
Click a cell, or select the range the command should apply to.
Tap Option, then type A P N
Tap ⌥ on its own to show the key tips, then A for Data, P N for Get Data. That opens the Get Data menu; the next key tips show the items in it.
What Alt A P N does
Alt A P N opens the Get Data menu on the Data tab of Excel. Type one more key to pick an item:
- ⌥APNP Get Data (Power Query)
- ⌥APNL Launch Power Query Editor
- ⌥APNS Data Source Settings
- ⌥APND From Database
- ⌥APNH From HTML
