Alt W F on Mac: Freeze Panes menu in Excel
To open the Freeze Panes menu with Alt W F in Excel on a Mac, install LightningXL, tap Option, then type W, F. The same keys as Windows, with the same result.

Install LightningXL

Select what to act on
Click a cell, or select the range the command should apply to.
Tap Option, then type W F
Tap ⌥ on its own to show the key tips, then W for View, F for Freeze Panes. That opens the Freeze Panes menu; the next key tips show the items in it.
